Welcome to the live updates page for the Villanova men's and women's track & field teams as they compete at the 2020 indoor BIG EAST Track & Field Championships presented by Jeep. The meet takes place Sunday-Monday (March 1-2) at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Watch the meet live and get access to live results and more relevant information via the links at the top of this page, and be sure to visit this page regularly over the next two days for live updates from the meet!

2:00 PM: 400 meters preliminaries - Amari Onque-Shabazz advances to the final of the women's 400 meters in 55.62. Anthony Brodie (47.73) and Keegan Hughes (48.94) qualify for the final in men's 400 meters. There were no automatic qualifiers in this event, just a straight time trial to the final. Onque-Shabazz and Brodie did win their respective heats, with Brodie the fastest overall qualifier. 

1:25 PM: Jada Thomas (8.56) and Sarah Jones (8.62) are the top two qualifiers in the women's 60 meter hurdles. Liv Morgan (8.96) also advances on time. 

1:00 PM: Men's mile - Charlie O'Donovan is the fastest qualifier for the final in 4:15.50! Nick Steele (4:17.56) is also an automatic qualifier for the final and Patrick Spychalski (4:16.87) advances on time. 

12:45 PM: Men's Pole vault - Jim Keys has cleared his first two heights at 4.45 meters and 4.55 meters. Bar now moves another 10 centimeters to 4.65. 

12:40 PM: Anna Helwigh wins her heat of the Mile in 4:53.63! She and Brynne Sumner (4:54.32) are each comfortably on to the final as automatic qualifiers. 

12:22 PM: PR ALERT for Emily Galvin! Her third attempt in the weight throw is for a mark of 13.67 meters! Also now in competition in the pole vault is Jim Keys, who is easily over the bar at 4.45 meters on his first attempt of the day.

12:10 PM: Women's weight throw is underway and Emily Galvin throws for 12.41 meters on her first attempt. Men's pole vault is also starting now and Jim Keys will be competing in this event for Villanova. The bar is currently at 4.30 meters. 

11:30 AM: Two events and two PRs for Liv Morgan in the pentathlon! She is over the bar at 1.56 meters in the high jump. She had successful jumps at 1.44m, 1.50m, 1.53m and 1.56m in the competition. Morgan has scored 1,622 points through the first two events and currently stands in fourth place. Next event for these athletes is the shot put at 12 p.m.

10:15 AM: Liv Morgan opens the pentathlon with a PR of 8.89 in the 60 meter hurdles. She lowered the time of 8.95 she ran at the Dr. Sander Invitational/Columbia Challenge last season!  With one event complete, the pentathlon athletes will warm up for the high jump which will start at 10:40 am. 

8:35 AM: We are just 90 minutes away from the start of competition at SPIRE! The first event of the day is the women's pentathlon 60 meter hurdles. Sophomore Liv Morgan is the defending conference champion in the pentathlon, and her score of 3,555 points at last year's BIG EAST meet ranks as the fourth-highest point total in Villanova history.
