Jasmine Bascoe has quickly become a household name in the world of Villanova Basketball in just a season and a half on the Main Line. The sophomore guard native is second in the BIG EAST and in the top-55 nationally for scorers this year with a team-best 18.0 points per game, scoring double-figures in all but two games on the year with 10 20-point games to her credit. She is first and second in the BIG EAST for assists (113) and field goals (171), respectively, numbers that also place her among the top-50 in the nation at 41st and 24th in each category.

The Milton, Ontario native is coming off of a stellar debut season that saw her rack up postseason honors from the BIG EAST. Along the way, she set the Villanova freshman record for steals in a season (66) and led the team with 16.2 points per game. In her time as a Wildcat, she has been a consistent contributor, starting in 54 of her 55 appearances.

While the sophomore guard has been putting up numbers for the Blue and White, the Milton, Ontario native has also stayed close to her Canadian roots by playing with Team Canada at the FIBA U19 World Cup.

Bascoe's freshman campaign came with a bevy of accolades, including being name a first team All-BIG EAST player and a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST Rookie Team. Locally, she was tabbed Philadelphia Big 5 Rookie of the Year and first team All-Big 5. Along the way, Bascoe set the Villanova freshman record for steals in a season with 66. She scored double figures in 30 of the 34 games she played in, registering nine 20-point scoring games. She started 33 of the 34 games she played in and averaged a team-leading 16.2 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per contest in 34.7 minutes per game. She shot .428 from the field (204-of-477), .325 from three-point range (51-of-157) and .876 from the foul line (92-of-105) while tallying a team-high 145 assists and a team-best 66 steals.
