VILLANOVA, PA. - On Dec. 7, Villanova junior guard Trish Juhline fell during a game and broke her left foot. Surgery was performed by Robert Good MD, and after rehabbing her injury under Johanna Franklin Range's tutelage, Juhline was able to return with a vengeance against Notre Dame. She scored 19 points on six-of-14 shooting in an upset win over the Irish. For this gallant effort she was awarded the Sports Medicine Center Athlete of the Month for the months of January and February.
For the season, Juhline is leading the Wildcat team in scoring at 13.9 points per game. She has also hit 51-of-132 shots from three-point range for 38.6 percent. On Feb. 23, Juhline scored her 1,000th career point in Villanova's 76-64 upset win over No. 24 Virginia Tech.
Juhline and the Wildcats are currently 18-9 overall and 12-4 in the Big East and have earned a first round bye in the Big East Conference Tournament.
