On the final day of competition at the 109th running of the Penn Relays held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa., the Villanova men's 4xmile relay team tallied a second place finish. The Wildcats were clocked in 16:31.63.
Arkansas took home first place honors in a time of 16:16.23. Rounding out the top five were Georgetown in third (16:33.14), Michigan in fourth (16:3.25) and American University in fifth (16:34.35).
The four individuals who competed on the Villanova relay team included junior Jason Jabaut (Peru, N.Y.), senior Jon Fasulo (Whitehouse Station, N.J.), junior Ryan Hayden (Richmond, Canada) and senior Tom Parlapiano (Honeybrook, Pa.).
Villanova will return to action next weekend when they travel to Storrs, Conn., to compete in the 2003 Big East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be held from May 2-4.
