Terre Haute, Ind. - Villanova's Stephan Cornell (Stroudsburg, Pa.), Richard Corcoran (Dublin, Ireland) and Samuel Pawluk (East Richmond, B.C.) all finished in the top half of the field as the Wildcats placed 26th out of 33 teams in the Blue race at Pre-Nationals this afternoon.
Cornell ran the 8000m course in 25:04 to place 100th. Corcoran came in eight seconds later, 25:12, to finish 111th, and Pawluk crossed the line in 25:13 to finish 114th.
Craig Segal (Holmdel, N.J.) (26:02), Steve Curley (Syracuse, N.Y.) (26:17), and Andrew Keino (Eldoret, Kenya) (26:21) also ran for Villanova.
Stanford (89 points) won the Blue race on the men's side on the LaVern Gibson Championship course at Indiana State University-Terre Haute.
