RICHMOND, Va.--The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) today announced the 2013 Football Academic All-Conference Team. Villanova was well represented on the team with 16 student-athletes earning recognition. The 16 include nine offensive players, six defensive performers and a special teams player.
To be eligible for the CAA Football Academic All-Conference Team, a player must be a starter or important reserve and have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better for his entire academic career.
The 16 Wildcats named to the team include senior offensive lineman Josh Bucci, sophomore linebacker Don Cherry, sophomore wide receiver Anthony DeCamillo, sophomore wide receiver Kevin Gulyas, senior linebacker Pat Haggerty, junior offensive lineman Ross Hall, senior kicker/punter Mark Hamilton, redshirt freshman defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon, senior defensive end Josh Lumer, senior safety John Maughan, sophomore safety Cameron McCurry, junior quarterback Chris Polony, junior offensive lineman Peter Sotiriou, junior tight end Doug Turrell, senior offensive lineman Bill Vogel and senior wide receiver Garrett Waller.
