Sept. 26, 2016 RICHMOND, VA. - Villanova University senior defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (Ambler, Pa./ Wissahickon H.S.) has been named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Saturday's 31-14 win at Lafayette.
In the victory, Kpassagnon tallied seven total tackles (five solo), three tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks and a fumble recovery. The fumble recovery came on the first play of scrimmage that he returned 25 yards for a touchdown.
After four games this year, Kpassagnon has registered 16 total tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss to go with four sacks, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and a blocked kick.
Kpassagnon and the Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 1, when they travel to Elon for a CAA contest. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
