Villanova, Pa. – The Wildcats picked up another win on the day 6-0, and also won the series taking two of the three games against Providence.

Sara Kennedy got the start and had another amazing performance. She pitched he first four innings and allowed just one hit, one walk, and no runs. Paige Rauch came in relief of her in the fifth and pitched the last three innings allowing no runs, one hit, no walks, and struck out six. The scoring opened up in the third inning when Kendal Ohman singled to start the inning and Sydney Hayes squared around to sacrifice her to second. Following the out at first base, Ohman took off for third and the ball skipped out of play allowing her to score. Two batters later, Rauch would come to the plate and hit a moonshot of a home run to deep right center field to put the Wildcats up 2-0.

In the fifth inning, Delaney Switzer would deliver an RBI groundout that would score Angela Giampolo to open the lead to 3-0.

Hayes came to the plate with two runners on in the sixth inning, and would come through in a huge way. She doubled on a line drive to deep left that would score Ohman and Becky Ducar. Later in the inning, Hayes would score on an RBI single to right field by Rauch.
