Villanova, Pa.- Senior midfielder Matt Campbell was named to Inside Lacrosse's Preseason Media All-American Third Team as announced by the publication on Thursday morning. 

This week Campbell was named to the All-BIG EAST Preseason team and last month was named to USA Lacrosse Magazine's Preseason All-American Third team.  Campbell last season was named to three different All-American teams and was a unanimous selection to the 2021 All-BIG EAST First Team.  The junior finished the season with 32 goals and eight assists for 40 points.  Campbell registered two seven-point games this season.  First against Marquette, where the midfielder had five goals and a pair of assists, and the second on the road at St. John's when he netted six goals and dished out one assist.

Villanova will open their season on Saturday, February 12th at Penn State.  First faceoff of the 2022 season is set for 3:00 P.M.
