VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova will face their third consecutive ranked opponent in No. 20 Colgate this Saturday at Villanova Stadium. It marks the first time since 2020 Villanova has opened a season with three ranked opponents.
The Wildcats enter Saturday's matchup coming off a hard fought 13-11 loss to No. 9 Yale last week.

Colgate comes to Villanova Stadium with a 3-2 record and fell to Yale 21-11 last night (Feb. 21). The Raiders have also played a highly competitive schedule and notably knocked off No. 4 Penn State in the season opener. Hunter Drouin and Rory Connor lead the team with 15 points each and the Raiders rank 35 in the nation averaging 17.8 points per game.
Colgate's defense has been very impressive this season as they rank seventh in the nation with 11.80 caused turnovers per game. Villanova will have to do a better job taking care of the ball as they turned it over 44 times in their two defeats.
One area the Wildcats have an advantage over Colgate is faceoffs.
Justin Coppola currently ranks 35 in the nation with a .559 win percentage as the Raiders win a below average .340 of their faceoff opportunities.
