Villanova University Athletics has unveiled an updated visual identity for the Wildcats. The refreshed branding brings enhanced consistency across all elements of the Villanova Athletics brand, reflecting the continued success of the department's student-athletes, coaches, staff and the broader University community.
"The Villanova Athletics brand is incredibly strong, and these updates build upon the rich history, tradition and success of our athletic programs," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Mark Jackson. "Our student-athletes, fans and the entire Villanova community take great pride in representing Villanova, and I look forward to seeing the updates embraced by Nova Nation. Developed in partnership with leading brand development firm, VPCo., the refreshed branding includes subtle updates to the classic V icon mark, the secondary Wildcat logo, the Villanova wordmark and new script logos, typography and numerals. To ensure consistency, a digital brand standards platform was also created to guide uniform/jersey applications across all sports, traditional marketing usage, color and typography options and overall brand guidance.
The launch of the refreshed Athletics branding is the culmination of an 18-month process that involved collaboration and feedback from department staff and coaches, student-athletes and University leadership.

As the foundation for the Villanova brand, the classic V icon underwent a subtle update for production and consistency purposes. The inner elements of the V icon were updated to match the serifs of the Villanova wordmark.

The secondary Wildcat logo was modernized to better align with current brand colors and to scale efficiently in various applications.

Updated typography and scripts were designed to create a comprehensive brand identity system.

A new, cohesive numerals system was created and inspired by the Villanova legacy.
Apparel and merchandise featuring the new brand is now available at Shop.Villanova.com, the official online store of Villanova Athletics. Additional products featuring the new visual brand identity will continue to be released throughout the year.
