FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Wildcat's concluded The Doc Gimmler Red & Black in ninth place out of the 12 team field. They shot 39 over par during the two-day tournament for a stroke total of 883 across 54 holes and two courses.
The 'Cats shot eight over par on day one on Bethpage Red, including a round in which they shot at par as a team. On day two, where they switched to the sixth toughest course in the United States, according to Golf Digest, Bethpage Black, to play the final 18 holes, they shot 31 over. Ryan Pamer shot six over on day two, bringing his final score to four over. He finished the tournament tied for seventh place, making this the second tournament in a row he has placed in the top 10.
Vibhav Alokam shot eleven over on Bethpage Black, finishing with a final score of eleven over on the tournament.
Jackson Lehner shot nine over to bring his totals to 71-73-80-224 across both days of the tournament. He finished with a stroke average of 74.3.
Nathan Marion was one of only three golfers in the tournament to shoot an eagle on day two at Bethpage Black. He did so on the par four on hole 6. Marion was able to climb the leaderboard fifteen spots from the previous day by shooting five over to finish tied for 49
th at +16. His score of five over par in round three tied for fifth on the day.
Cameron Besaw finished tied for 53
rd after shooting 12 over on day two.
Ian Love concluded the event in third place out of the nine individuals. He finished by shooting 11 over on day two, good for a three-round total of 19 over, tying him for 55
th.
UP NEXT: After this event, Villanova will travel up to Hampden, Mass., to play in the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse Golf Course from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.
