Wildcats Hit the Road for Navy Invite

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to Annapolis, Md., for the Navy Invitational, a three-day event set to begin Thursday, Nov. 20, and conclude Saturday, Nov. 22, at Lejeune Hall.

This marks the Wildcats' first appearance at the invitational. Participating teams include James Madison, Navy, Old Dominion and UC Santa Barbara, with George Washington and NC State competing in diving only.

Last season, the women faced James Madison and came up just short, 153-147. Alana Leen claimed a pair of victories for the Wildcats, touching first in the 100 Back (57.22) and 200 Back (2:01.90).

Competition will open each day with preliminaries at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 6 p.m. Diving preliminaries are scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Fans planning to attend must park outside the U.S. Naval Academy and enter through Gate 1 at the visitor's center. Visitors 18 and older are required to present either a passport or a Real ID driver's license.
