New for the 2025-26 academic year, Villanova will announce its top performers from the previous week in a press release and social media post each Monday afternoon. The weekly wrap will recognize one standout student-athlete from each sport who competed during the previous week.

VILLANOVA, Pa.—Football locked in it spot for the 2025 NCAA FCS Playoffs as the No. 12 seed while men's and women's cross country wrapped up its season at the NCAA Championships. Volleyball awaits its NCAA tournament fate after a BIG EAST Tournament loss in the semifinals.

Philadelphia Big Five games highlighted action on the hardwood for the Wildcats with a pair of wins while swimming and diving had a strong showing at the Navy Invite for its midseason outing. All of that paved the way to eight student-athletes landing a spot on the Weekly Wrap for November 17-23.

Men's Basketball
Matt Hodge, Redshirt Freshman, Forward, Limburg, Belgium

Hodge led the Villanova offense in a 70-55 Big Five road win at La Salle on Wednesday evening. He was 7-of-9 from the field with a 3-of-5 showing from long distance for a 17-point game. He grabbed three boards in the process, also adding a steal to his stat line in 35 minutes of play, a new career-high for time on the court. He is now averaging 12.6 points per game this season with 3.2 rebounds.

Ryanne Allen, Senior, Guard, Perkasie, Pa.

Allen posted a career-best day in the 88-58 win over Temple on Sunday afternoon that led to her earning Big Five Women's Player of the Week and BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll plaudits. She notched career highs with 19 points, seven field goals, five three-pointers and six assists. She was 7-of-8 from the field and 5-of-6 from long distance. That outing moved her to 7.2 points and 2.0 assists per game this season

Charlie Moore, Sophomore, Brisbane, Australia

Moore was an Automatic Qualifier from the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional for the 'Cats this past weekend at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Columbia, Mo. In his first appearance at the national meet, he finished in the top half of the field, crossing the finish line 120
th overall with a time of 29:45.8 on the 10,000-meter course.

Women's Cross Country
Tilly O'Connor, Junior, Spring Lake, N.J.

O'Connor led the contingent of 'Cats who competed in the NCAA Cross Country Championships, turning in a 78
th place finish in 19:45.6. The time marked her fifth consecutive 6,000-meter race with a sub-20 minute finish and was 10 seconds faster than her time at the Pre-National Invitational on the same University of Missouri course back in October.

Turner Inge, Junior, Linebacker, Williamstown, N.J.

Turner and the Wildcats punched their ticket to the 2025 NCAA FCS Playoffs on Saturday with a 34-10 win over Sacred Heart, winning their eighth consecutive win. He recorded two solo tackles, one being a tackle for loss and the other being a sack, while forcing a fumble and grabbing a fumble recovery.

Men's Swimming & Diving
Hugh Boris, Freshman, Breaststroke, Denver, Colo.

Boris had a breakout performance in the midseason meet for the Wildcats that brought three program-record performances at the Navy Invitational. The first such performance was with Villanova's A team in the 200 Medley Relay where he joined forces with Cole Gorsuch, Zach Sutter and Sam Randall to post a 1:28.21 time that was three-tenths of a second faster than the previous best that was set in 2018. Individually, he knocked down the 200 Breast record on the final day of action with a 1:59.85 in the prelims before besting his own record in the evening's finals with a 1:59.66. He had four top-10 finishes across relay and individual swims, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the 200 Breast.

Women's Swimming & Diving
Anna Farley, Junior, Butterfly/IM, Edina, Minn.

Farley and the Wildcats were the top women's team at the Navy Invite, finishing first out of eight teams. She finished in the five in all eight of her championship final swims across relay and individual competition, four of those in second-place. She posted three personal bests at the meet in the 200 Free (1:49.94 – relay leg), 200 Fly (1:58.33) and 400 IM (4:19.96).

Taylor Lewis, Sophomore, Outside/Opposite Hitter, Indianapolis, Ind.

Villanova logged its third straight BIG EAST Tournament appearance over the weekend, falling to Xavier in the semifinals. Lewis led the Wildcats with 11 kills on .375 hitting. She finished the season with three consecutive double-digit kill outings and seven overall. The Wildcats await their NCAA Tournament fate with the field being announced on Sunday evening.
