Maddie Webber landed a spot on this year's Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
This marks the first such honor for Webber in her career and makes her the 11
th All-District selection for the program since 1980. With her placement, the sophomore guard is now a finalist for the CSC Academic All-America team and will be on the ballot that is voted on by CSC Members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on April 16, 2025 (women).
Webber, a communications major, has played in every game for the Wildcats this season. The All-BIG EAST Second Team selection is second on the team in scoring with 13.1 points per game and leads the 'Cats with 54 made three-pointers. She has scored in double-figures in 27 of 34 games played this season including a 30-point outing at DePaul in February where she made 12 field goals, five of those from long distance.
