The 24

The Villanova Athletic Fund (VAF) is proud to announce the fundraising results for fiscal year 2026 (June 1, 2025-May 31, 2026). $36.4 million was raised from Villanova alumni, families and fans in support of student-athletes across all 24 varsity programs. This total reflects the incredible generosity of the Nova Nation and its shared commitment to our student-athletes.

This historic fundraising year reflects the breadth and depth of support that defines Villanova Athletics. A record-setting 7,411 individual donors made 13,535 gifts during the fiscal year, ranging from annual fund contributions, which provide crucial programmatic support, to transformational commitments that will shape the future of Villanova Athletics for generations to come. Among the more than 7,000 individual donors this fiscal year, nearly 1,250 made their first-ever gift to Villanova. In a true testament to the collective generosity of the Villanova community, almost 3,300 donors made a gift on 1842 Day last fall, the University’s annual day of giving.

One of the most significant highlights of the year includes the remarkable number of leadership gifts: Villanova Athletics received 62 major gifts of $100,000 or more, generating approximately $24 million in total contributions.

This philanthropy is both immediately impactful and enduring in its importance to the future success of Villanova Athletics. In the short term, it supports department priorities like team travel; student-athlete wellness initiatives; and recruiting efforts, and over the long-term it provides critical funding for scholarships; endowment support; and capital projects.

These funds also help fuel the momentum of Espiritus Nova: The Campaign for Villanova University. As the most ambitious fundraising effort in the University’s history, Espiritus Nova seeks to support Villanova Athletics’ goal of creating an environment where our student-athletes excel in the classroom, succeed in competition and make a difference in our community.

“Considerable planning, effort, execution and, most importantly, generosity make this extraordinary support of our student-athletes possible. As the landscape of college athletics continues to rapidly change, it is exciting and rewarding to see our community stepping up across so many sports, projects and initiatives in support of Villanova", Vice President and Director of Athletics Eric Roedl ’97 added.
