2019: Started in all all 17 games for the Wildcats. Ranked second of the team in points (40) from her 9 goals and three assists. Scored a goal in Villanova's season-opening 3-2 win over Sacred Heart (9/1). Had two goals and two assists in the team's 8-3 win over Wagner (9/13). Dished out an assist in the team's 3-2 win over Penn (9/15). Scored one goal in the 'Cats 2-1 win over Quinnipiac (10/11). Recorded a hat trick in Villanova's 8-3 win over La Salle (10/13). Scored two goals against Davidson (10/27). Was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll and selected as the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.Â
2018: Vermeil started in all 19 games for the Wildcats season. Her first three goals of the season came in the 7-3 victory against Lehigh (9/2) where she also had an assist. In the team's 5-2 win over Georgetown (9/14) she scored one goal and had one assist. Vermeil also scored in the thrilling 4-3 OT win against Rider (9/23). She also scored one goal against Lafayette (10/1) and two against Temple (10/19) where she also had an assist. She tallied her last assist of the season against Columbia (10/21). She ended the season with eight goals and four assists for 20 points, tied for first on the team in points and goals. Vermeil was also named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.Â
2017: Appeared in all 17 games for Villanova. Vermeil tied for second in goals on the team with six. She also recorded the second most points with 14. In a 2-3 loss to MU (10/15) Vermeil scored the first goal and assisted on the second to teammate Cliggett.
2016: Played in all 18 games for the Wildcats, while starting four games during her freshman season…Scored her first collegiate goal against Providence (9/23)…Scored her second collegiate goal against the 7-0 win over LIU (10/2)...Finished with two goals on the season.
Villa Maria Academy: Four year varsity letter winner in field hockey and two in track and field…Her team was PA District 1 Champions, AACA Champions, and State Finalist in 2015…Named to the AACA All Star team, NFHCA All Region Second Team, PA All State Team, Max Field Hockey All Region Team, All Phila Main Line First Team, and Phila Inquirer All Area First Team during her senior season...In 2014 her team was PA State Champions …Led the team in goal scoring for three season…Scored 88 goals during her high school career, 36 of those goals, were scored during her senior year.
Personal: Born July 22, 1998…Parents are Rick and Colleen…Has three older siblings, Rick, Kelly, and Mike…Her grandfather Dick Vermeil coached the Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams, and the Kansas City Chiefs…Hobbies include going to the beach and spending time with friends…Chose Villanova because it is the perfect combination of a high intensity field hockey program and outstanding academic recognition.
