STATEMENT FROM VU DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS VINCE NICASTRO
REGARDING THE ACC ADDITIONS OF MIAMI AND VIRGINIA TECH
"Villanova's association with the Big East Conference has been extremely beneficial to this institution over the course of the last 23 years. The Big East is very much interwoven in the fabric of Villanova University. We remain committed to the goals and leadership of the conference during this period of transition in intercollegiate athletics.
"In the coming months, we look forward to working in a collaborative fashion with our Big East partners to determine the best course of action. The University's goal of maintaining a national caliber athletic program remains as strong today as ever. We will continue our mission of excelling in both the academic and athletic arenas."
