A Season in Review

The Wildcats went 7-4 in the 2021 season and advanced to the BIG EAST Semifinals. During the 2021 season, Annalise Klopfer had a standout season and earned First Team All-BIG EAST honors. Klopfer was a winner in straight sets against three-time BIG EAST Player of the Year Jessica Livianu from St. John's and in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship she knocked off this past season's conference Player of the Year in Aspasia Avgeri from DePaul. Lexi DeNucci earned Second Team All-BIG EAST HONORS after tying for the team lead in singles victories (8).

Friday, September 17 vs. Drexel- 3:00 PM

The Dragons finished the 2021 season with a 4-6 record and advanced to the Quarterfinals of the CAA Women’s Tennis Championship before losing to Elon.  

The pair of Marta Martinez and Pauline Kharkover were 5-1 overall in Doubles. 

Martinez had the best singles record for the Dragons (5-2). 

 

Saturday, September 18 vs. Delaware-1:00 PM

The Blue Hens had a strong 2020-21 season that led to a bid to the Quarterfinals CAA Women’s Tennis Championship.

During the 7-1 season, Julieta Honrubia owned a 6-1 singles record and won six-straight singles matches to finish the season.

The pair of Jojo Bach and Isabella Montana went 7-0 in doubles matches. 

Sunday, September 19 vs. Temple-9:30 AM

The Owls finished the 2021 season with a 9-2 record. 

Oleksandra Doroshenko and Vineetha Mummadi tied for the team-best singles record of 10-1. 

In her freshman season, Ling Hsuan Wei went 8-2 in singles competition.
