Biography

A 2016 Villanova graduate and former player, Ann Romanowski enters her first season as a Volunteer Assistant coach with the Villanova Field Hockey Team.

Romanowski served as a captain throughout the 2015 season, where she led the team to the BIG EAST Tournament. As a senior, she started 12 games for the Wildcats, and received the Villanova Award, which is, “NOVA AWARD: This award is in honor of players parents who are no longer with us but will always be a part of our team. This award goes to someone who shows true dedication to this program and the love of Villanova.”

She finished with three points, recording one goal and one assist. As a strong midfielder, she started all 18 contests during the 2014 season and tallied her only shot in a 2-1 OT win over Georgetown and received ample playing time during her sophomore and freshman year.

Romanowski graduated from Villanova with a Biology degree, with minors in Business and Psychology. Before entering her final season as a Wildcat, she participated in the Villanova Summer Business Institute Program, where she earned her minors and also, prepared her for her future. Throughout her time at Villanova, she also participated in the Villanova Leadership Institute, with a select group of athletes, which involved seminars with various speakers and leaders that talked about leadership and how to incorporate those skills into the team. Her future plans are to attend nursing school.
