Brian Tracz

Brian Tracz comes to Villanova for his first season as the strength and conditioning coach for the football team in 2017. He was most recently the Assistant Athletic Director for Athlete Performance at Wagner, where he oversaw the day-to-day supervision of a five-person staff in support of Wagner's 20-sport athletics program. He also served as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Seahawks football program.

Tracz was at Wagner for three years after spending one year on the strength staff at CAA Football member Elon. His previous experience includes being the director of human performance at New Mexico Military Institute and spending two years at The Citadel, where he assisted nine varsity teams with program implementation, gaining experience with student-athletes in the sports of wrestling, baseball, football, track & field and basketball.

His professional certifications include the NSCA's certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), the Certified Sports Performance Coach through United States Weightlifting (USAW), and the Certified Level 1 Movement Specialist, Functional Movement Screen (FMS). He is also a certified CPR/AED Professional Rescuer.

Tracz is a 2008 graduate of Fordham University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. During his time at Fordham, he was a two-year letter-winner as a defensive lineman after transferring from Indiana University. Tracz helped Fordham to the 2007 Patriot League title and a berth in the FCS Playoffs.

He earned a Master's Degree in health, exercise and sport science from The Citadel in 2011.

Tracz and his wife, Lauren, reside in Media, Pa., with their son Zachary.
