2021: Competed in the triple jump in the first competition of his collegiate career;
Army West Point (2/6): Finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 13.35 meters in his collegiate debut in a road dual meet at Army West Point.
2021: Scored in both the long jump and the triple jump while recording personal best marks in each event at the BIG EAST Championships … Competed in five meets during the season and broke into the Wildcats all-time outdoor performance list in the long jump;
Villanova Opener (3/19): Tallied a first place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.37 meters on a frigid afternoon at Villanova Stadium in the outdoor season opener;
Penn Challenge (3/27): Runner-up in the triple jump with a measurement of 13.95 meters at Penn;
Philadelphia Big 5 Meet (4/3): Recorded third place finishes in both the long jump and the triple jump … Had marks of 7.03 meters in the long jump and 13.75 meters in the triple jump for the day;
Virginia Challenge (4/16-4/17): Posted an eighth place finish in the long jump with a then-personal best mark of 4.12 meters … Came in 11
th in the triple jump with a mark of 14.29 meters;
BIG EAST Championships (5/14-5/15): Registered a personal best mark of 7.21 meters in the long jump on the first day of the conference meet … That distance put him into 10
th place on the Wildcats all-time outdoor performance list in the long jump … Also recorded a personal best distance of 14.37 meters in the triple jump on the second day of the BIG EAST meet … Tallied a fifth place finish in the triple jump and a seventh place showing in the long jump at his first career conference championship.
Wissahickon High School: Earned a total of six varsity letters during his scholastic career, including two in track & field and four in basketball … Two-year captain of the basketball team and one-year captain of the track & field team … As a junior in 2019 was a third team all-state performer in the long jump … Earned second team all-district honors in the long jump and was third team all-district in the triple jump … Six-time all-league honoree between his sophomore and junior seasons … As a senior was a second team all-league pick in basketball … Inducted to the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society … FBLA state competitor … Winner of the Bruce Arnold Athletic Scholar Award and became an Eagle Scout.
Personal: Born 8/19/01 in Cleveland, Ohio … Only child of Richard Ostroski and Nilsa Sanchez … Enjoys playing basketball in his spare time … Chose to attend Villanova because it stood out among the schools he considered as giving him the best opportunity to grow in his academic and athletic pursuits … Plans to major in Economics.
