Reed Smith

Reed Smith joined Villanova Athletics as a Media Relations Intern in August 2025. 

Smith, a native Texan, was the athletic communications intern at his alma mater North Texas from May 2024 to July 2025.

Smith previously worked as a journalist for 247Sports, writing over 300 stories for the company’s UNT site MeanGreen247 over the course of three athletic seasons. At 247, Smith beat wrote four sports and managed the site’s recruiting database. 
 
From August 2020 to May 2023, Smith worked his way up the ranks of UNT’s newspaper, the North Texas Daily, going from a beat writer to the senior sportswriter and serving as the sports editor for his final three semesters with the publication.

Smith graduated from the University of North Texas in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.
