Wildcats Roll Over Columbia, 80-64

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) - Michael Bradley had 22 points and 11 rebounds as Villanova defeated Columbia 80-64 Saturday night.

Bradley, who was 7-for-11 from the field, had 11 of his points in the first half as the Wildcats (3-1) dominated early. Columbia (2-3) led just once in the game, after a 3-pointer by Victor Munoz gave them a 3-1 lead. Villanova then took an 18-5 advantage and led by as many as 20 points in the opening half.

The Lions scored eight of the first 10 points in the second half and a four-point play by Austin closed the gap to 43-33. The Wildcats scored the next eight points, capped by back-to-back three-pointers from Bradley and Brooks Sales, to pull away again.

Gary Buchanan had 13 points and Sales and Jermaine Medley each scored 12 for the Wildcats.

Craig Austin led Columbia with 17 points and Munoz chipped in 10 points and seven assists.
