Wildcats Overtaken by Retrievers

The Villanova men's tennis team dropped a match today to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 6-5 on the year.

In the defeat, two of the six singles players for 'Nova came away with a victory. Michael Mock slid by his opponent, Nikhil Misra, at second singles while posting a score 7-5 and 6-4. At the number four singles post, Ryan Devine defeated the Retrievers' Matt Lennox in three sets 4-6, 6-4, and 7-6.

On the doubles side, the lone winning combo for the Wildcats was the first singles pairing of Robert Waibel and Josh Schofield, defeating UMBC's Oscar Lopez and Matt Lennox 8-6.

The 'Cats will host Big East rival Seton Hall on Saturday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m.
