Villanova Athletics is proud to present the Villanova P.A.W.S program: Providing Athletes With Support. The P.A.W.S. program helps to ensure the best quality experience for Villanova student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the playing fields. Wildcat student-athletes represent the best in athletic and academic achievements, and Villanova is proud to recognize these student leaders.
This week's P.A.W.S. honors go to Wildcat freshman Laura Johnson, a women's soccer standout from Charlotte, N.C., and Providence Senior High School. This past week, the Villanova women's soccer team received its first-ever bid to the NCAA Tournament. On Friday, Nov. 16, in the NCAA first round, versus the University of Pennsylvania at State College, Pa., Laura scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory. For the season, she finished with eight goals and four assists for 20 points, placing second on the team in goals and points.
We congratulate Laura on her achievements, and proudly support the Villanova P.A.W.S. program. For additional information regarding P.A.W.S., contact Villanova University at (610) 519-4605.
