NEW YORK, N.Y. - The public can catch its first glimpse of the 2002-03 Villanova Wildcats during the annual Blue vs. White scrimmage on Saturday at the Pavilion. Tipoff is slated for 4:05 p.m. and admission is free.

"The Blue and White game is always a highlight for our team," said Villanova head coach Jay Wright. "There is so much tradition in this event and our players love to be on the Pavilion floor in front of our great fans."

This year the Wildcats will take the floor in their new uniforms for the intrasquad scrimmage. Villanova altered its uniform design for the first time since 1996 during the offseason.

Villanova returns four starters, including preseason second team All-Big East selections Gary Buchanan and Ricky Wright, from a squad that finished 19-13 in 2001-02. In addition, the Wildcats' incoming crop of recruits was rated among the nation's best and offers much promise for the 2002-03 campaign.
