No. 20 Women's Basketball Hammers Hoyas, 51-37

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) - Katie Davis scored 21 points and Trish Juhline added 14 as No. 20 Villanova beat Georgetown 51-37 Wednesday night.

Davis hit a 3-pointer to open the second half and give Villanova (19-4, 9-3 Big East) the lead for good. The Wildcats went on an 11-2 run in the final five minutes to clinch their fifth straight victory.

Nok Duany had 10 points for Georgetown (14-9, 5-7).

Villanova overcame a sluggish start, going 8-for-30 in the first half and 3-for-19 from 3-point range, but got 11 points from Davis before the break.

The Hoyas also came out cold, missing their first eight shots, but took a 15-14 lead on Duany's shot from the lane with 7:08 left in the half. The Hoyas took a 23-21 advantage into the locker room on Carmen Bruce's layup with 9 seconds left.

Courtney Mix had 12 rebounds for the Wildcats.
