Brynn McCurry has been tabbed a member of the Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
McCurry's honor brings the program to 12 All-District plaudits since 1980. With her placement, the junior forward now advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America that will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees for women's basketball will be announced on April 15.
The Sparta, N.J. native played in all 33 games for the 'Cats this season, averaging 26.3 minutes per game with 29 starts. She earned All-BIG EAST Second Team laurels this season and was tabbed as the league's Most Improved Player. McCurry, a finance major with a minor in consulting, led the team with 5.3 rebounds per game and a .529 showing from the field and ranked second in the team for scoring at 10.7 points per game. She scored in double digits for 19 games throughout the season, four of those with at least 20 points. She had a career-best 21 points twice during the year against West Virginia and Saint Joseph's and had a career-high nine rebounds in games against West Virginia and Creighton.
