The revolving injury door continued for Villanova on Saturday. Curtis Sumpter returned to the starting lineup after missing a pair of games with a sprained right knee. Meanwhile, center Jason Fraser missed his first game of the campaign after fracturing his right hand in the Jan. 11 win at Providence. Fraser's surgery marked the 8th time in the last 22 months that the Wildcats have undergone surgery.

Echoes of 1985 were abundant on Saturday afternoon at the Pavilion. On the day Villanova honored the players and coaches from the 1985 NCAA championship team, the `Cats dropped a 66-64 decision to Georgetown in the Hoyas first appearance on Villanova's campus in 55 years. Twenty years earlier, VU defeated Georgetown 66-64 in the NCAA Final.

It's a challenging week for the Wildcats, who will face a pair of top 10 teams, each of which enters play this week without a loss. Following tonight's game against No. 9 Boston College, Villanova returns to Philadelphia where it is slated to face No. 2 ranked Kansas at the Wachovia Center. Villanova has faced one ranked team thus far in 2004-05. It defeated No. 21 West Virginia 84-46 at the Pavilion in the Big East opener on Jan. 5.
