Landover, Md. - The Villanova University women's track and field team competed in the Terrapin Invitational indoor track meet at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex yesterday.

Freshman Thelma Akpan's 6th place in the high jump with a height of 5'4 1/4" (1.63m) highlighted the afternoon for the Wildcats. Teammate Casey Nelson placed ninth in the mile with a time of 5:17.94.

Freshman Emily McMillan finished 13th in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:22.82. Abby Smith placed tenth in the shot put with a distance of 38' 8 3/4" (11.80m).
