VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova Athletics will hold a football ticket pick-up party for season ticket holders, fans and guests at the Philadelphia Marriott West on Thursday, August 24 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Come and meet Wildcat players and coaches one-on-one during this festive event to kickoff the 2006 football season. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served along with a cash bar, door prizes and a sale of authentic Villanova merchandise.

Head coach Andy Talley will speak shortly after the beginning of the event and will be joined by several players from the 2006 team, including tri-captains Allyn Bacchus, Marvin Burroughs and Christian Gaddis as well as seniors J.C. Cooper, DeQuese May and Matthew Sherry.

Villanova opens the season on September 2 with a 6 p.m. road contest against University of Central Florida. The Wildcats home opener is at 6 p.m. on September 9 against Lehigh.
