Football Has 70 Student-Athletes Named to CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll in Fall 2025

Six student-athletes achieved High Honors with Distinction for having a 4.0 semester GPA

RICHMOND, Va.—It was a record-setting Fall 2025 semester for the Villanova football program as 70 of the team's student-athletes were named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll which was announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the most honorees the Wildcats have had in a single semester, and the list was led by six student-athletes who achieved High Honors with Distinction for having a perfect 4.0 semester grade point average. Villanova had an additional 19 student-athletes earn High Honors status (3.7+ semester GPA) and 45 members of the team who achieved Honors status (3.0+ semester GPA).

The six student-athletes who earned 4.0 GPAs for the Fall 2025 semester are senior wide receiver Chris Dobrydney (Fairfax, Va.); junior wide receiver Ryan Kennedy (Cleveland Heights, Ohio); graduate defensive back Kaleb Moody (North Andover, Mass.); junior punter Daniel Mueller (Ephrata, Pa.); freshman offensive lineman Nico Sclafani (Bethesda, Md.); and senior offensive lineman Quin Whalen (Chalfont, Pa.).

The outstanding efforts of the Wildcats student-athletes in the classroom parallel the program's success on the field. Villanova compiled a 12-3 record in 2025 and reached the semifinal round of the FCS playoffs on the way to finishing the season ranked No. 4 in the final national polls. During their postseason run, the Wildcats won consecutive road games at No. 5 seed Lehigh and No. 4 seed Tarleton State in the second and quarterfinal rounds, marking the first time in 15 years that Villanova won back-to-back road games against Top 5 ranked opponents.
