VILLANOVA, Pa. - For the second week in a row, Wildcat freshman has been named the freshman of the week by the BIG EAST. He averaged 19.5 points, 7.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week. The freshman from Herndon, Va. posted a game-high 20 points and six assists in an 82-73 victory at Providence. In a 66-63 loss at Notre Dame, Reynolds had 19 points, eight assists and three steals. In BIG EAST games, he is third in the league in scoring with an 18.3 average.
Reynolds is averaging 23 ppg over the `Cats last four games and is shooting .444 from the field in BIG EAST play. In conference play, he is knocking down three pointers at a .421 clip and is 80 percent from the foul line (32-of-40).
Reynolds and the Wildcats will host Pittsburgh tonight and Louisville on Saturday, both games taking place at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.
