Wildcats Host Albany on Friday Night in Season Opener

VILLANOVA, Pa.--On Friday night No. 23 Villanova will host Albany at the Pavilion in the season opener for both teams. The game tips off at 8 p.m. as the Wildcats open the 89th season of men's basketball in the program's history. Villanova has gone 80-8 in season openers in its history and enters this season with 199 all-time victories inside the Pavilion.

Friday night's game between Villanova and Albany is the second in a basketball doubleheader on campus this Friday. At 4 p.m. the women's basketball team will host La Salle in a Philadelphia Big Five tussle and the men's game will follow at 8 p.m. For complete game notes on the men's game, click on the PDF link at the top of this release.
