Lincoln Mercury Invitational Final Results
BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Junior Brian Colbert (Cary, Ill.) finished the fall season with a strong performance at the Lincoln Mercury Invitational at the River Course of Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J. The junior shot a final round 72 to finish with a 145 (+1) just four shots back in the thirty-six hole event. As a team, Villanova finished alone in third place with a 599 (+23).
Rounding out the top five for Villanova were senior Brendan Kelly (Annapolis, Md.) (75-73--148; +4), senior Conor Casey (Madison, N.J.) (73-760--149; +5), sophomore Steve Skurla (Wheaton, Ill.) (79-78--157; +13), and sophomore Michael Kania (Haverford, Pa.) (82-78--160; +16) who finished tied for 11th, 13th, 50th, and 64th respectively.
Also competing for Villanova was senior Colin List (Boynton Beach, Fla.) (81-81--162; +18) who finished tied for 74th.
In the team competition Villanova finished behind champion Binghamton (587) and second place Temple (592). Individually, Delaware's Justin Marthson took home the title with a 141 (-3).
Villanova's fall season is now over and they won't be back in action until the spring season.
