Paul Short Run Complete Results (Women's Gold Race)

BETHLEHEM, Pa.--Heavy rain that amounted to over six inches in the 24 hours leading up to the race left muddy conditions behind at Goodman Campus for the 37th Annual Paul Short Run on Friday, where the Villanova women's cross country team had individuals competing on the 6K course.

The third race of the day under the difficult conditions was the Women's Gold race at 11:45 a.m. Sophomore Meghan Smith (Newark, Del.) registered the top time among the four Wildcats who ran on Friday, as she came in with a mark of 23:12. Freshman Nicky Akande (Lawrenceville, Ga.) posted a time of 23:23 and senior Kaitlin O'Sullivan (Gansevoort, N.Y.) finished in 23:30. Sophomore Shannon Browne (Staten Island, N.Y.) completed the Villanova contingent with a time of 24:14.

Next up on the schedule for the Wildcats is the Penn State National on October 16.
