VILLANOVA, Pa. - ** With the 71-60 victory over Saint Joseph's tonight the Wildcats now own an 18-2 (.900) in December since 2007.
** Since a loss to Temple on Dec. 2, 2004 Villanova is now 22-2 in Big Five play.
** Tonight's victory was the 42nd consecutive win at The Pavilion. The streak started on Jan. 17, 2007 vs. Notre Dame and extends the longest-ever winning streak in the building.
** Antonio Pena scored 14 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds in tonight's game. This is his first double-double this season and 8th of his career.
** Mouphtaou Yarou pulled down 12 rebounds tonight. He has now posted double figure rebounds three times in the last four games.
** This was first time Yarou and Pena recorded double figure rebounds in the same game.
** Four of seven players that saw action had at least seven rebounds (Pena - 14, Yarou - 12, Corey Stokes - 8, Dominic Cheek -7). Villanova owned a 48-34 rebounding advantage over Saint Joseph's.
** Villanova has now taken 21 of its last 23 contests against its rivals in the city with tonight's 71-60 victory. One of those defeats came at the hands of Saint Joseph's in 2008 at the Palestra. The Wildcats are now 1-0 in Big Five play this season.
