Princeton Invitational Day 1 Results

PRINCETON, N.J. - After two rounds of play at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J., the Villanova golf team currently sits in ninth place with a total team score of 601 (304, 297) after two rounds of play. Individually, junior Brendan Kelly (Annapolis, Md.) is tied for second place after posting rounds of 68 and 74, good for even-par on the course. Yale's Tom McCarthy leads all competitors at 5-under par while Harvard leads the team competition.

For Villanova, junior Colin List (Boynton Beach, Fla.), sophomore Brian Colbert (Cary, Ill.), freshman Steve Skurla (Wheaton, Ill.) and junior Conor Casey (Madison, N.J.) round out the top five tied for 35th, 42nd, 59th and 70th places, respectively, with one round left to play on Sunday morning.

Yale, Towson, Penn and Cornell are the top four schools behind Harvard for the day.

This year's Princeton Invitational is being held at the Springdale Golf Club, a par 71, 6,390 yard course, and has a 15 team field including Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Georgetown, Penn, Princeton, Rider, Rutgers, St. John's, Saint Joseph's, Temple, Towson, Yale and Villanova.

The defending champion is Rutgers, with their own James Arbes claiming the individual title in 2009.
