Charleston Shootout Day One Results

CHARLESTON, S.C. - At the Wendy's Charleston Shootout in Charleston, S.C., the Villanova golf team sits in a tie for eleventh place after two rounds at the Links at Stono Ferry in the 15-team field. The Wildcats shot a 302-299--601 (+25) during the first day of the 54-hole event in their first stroke play tournament of the spring season.

Senior Brendan Kelly (Annapolis, Md.) is the leading Wildcat, currently in a tie for 22nd after his 72-75--147 (+3). Rounding out the top five for Villanova are junior Brian Colbert (Cary, Ill.) (74-76--150; +6), sophomore Michael Kania (Haverford, Pa.) (77-75--152; +8), sophomore Robbie Galbreath (Huntington Valley, Pa.) (79-74--153; +9), and senior Conor Casey (Madison, N.J.) (79-75--154; +10), who finished tied for 37th, 45th, 47th, and 51st, respectively.

Baylor leads the team competition with a 285-287--572 (-4) and Campbell's Vaita Guillaume leads the individual tournament with a 64-71--135 (-9).
