FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - Villanova shot a 296-281-288-865 (+25) to finish in tenth place on the par-70, 6,734-yard Red Course at Bethpage State Park at The McLaughlin. The tenth place finish was among 16 teams in the field.

Junior Steve Skurla (Wheaton, Ill.) was the top finisher for the Wildcats with a 76-68-68--212 (+2) which put him in a tie for 18th after two strong finishing rounds.

Junior Brian Colbert (Cary, Ill.)(70-69-75--214;+4) and junior Michael Kania (Haverford, Pa.)(74-72-70--216;+6) each finished in the top-30 out of the 92-player field in a tie for 22nd and 28th, respectively.

Rounding out the top-five, junior Derek Jones (Lower Burrell, Pa.)(78-74-75--227;+17) and sophomore Robby Meador (Miami Lakes, Fla.)(76-72-82--230) finished in a tie for 73rd and 81st, respectively.

Carlos Rodriguez of West Florida took home the individual title and also led his squad to the team title.

Villanova will be back in action again this Monday at the Adam's Cup in Newport, R.I.
