LONDON - Lisa Karcic and Croatia played the second game of preliminary round play in women's basketball Group A action on Monday morning and was defeated by China, 83-58. Karcic saw two minutes of action off the bench in the loss as Croatia fell to 0-2 in round-robin play.

Both teams came out of the gates strong and China led 24-21 after the first quarter. In the second period however, Croatia went cold from the floor and China extended its lead to 39-31 at halftime before pulling away in the second half.

Croatia next plays on Wednesday when it faces the Czech Republic, which is also 0-2 thus far. Tip-off on Wednesday is scheduled for 3 p.m. Eastern time.

Next up for Villanova is a Tuesday men's basketball game between Great Britain and Brazil, which tips off at 11:45 a.m. Eastern.
