Villanova Olympics Recap Day 7: Friday, August 3

LONDON - Croatia scored its first win of women's basketball Group A play on Friday morning with a 75-56 victory over Angola. In the victory Croatia owned a +18 rebounding margin and hit 24 free throws.

Lisa Karcic had one rebound in two minutes off the bench for Croatia, which led by nine points at halftime and stretched the lead to 16 points by the end of the third quarter.

Angola hit a three-pointer to start the game and led 3-0 but Croatia responded with five unanswered points to go up 5-3. It never relinquished the lead and outrebounded Angola by a 46-28 margin.

Croatia plays its final game of the group stage on Sunday at 8 p.m. local time (3 p.m. Eastern) when it faces Turkey.

Next up for Villanova, the Great Britain men's basketball team takes on Australia on Saturday evening at 8 p.m. local time (3 p.m. Eastern).
