Dec. 5, 2014 VILLANOVA, Pa. - A date change for "Talking Villanova Basketball" and the arrival of the new season of "Inside Villanova Basketball" headline the news on the Villanova Basketball media front.
The second edition of the "Talking Villanova Basketball with Jay Wright" radio show will now be held on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. instead of the originally listed date of Monday, Dec. 15. The venue remains J.D. McGillicuddy's in Wayne, Pa., and the broadcast can be heard locally on 610 AM Radio and the video stream viewed through the Nova Nation All-Access Pass at villanova.com.
In addition, the premier episode of Season 14 of the Emmy nominated "Inside Villanova Basketball with Jay Wright" television program is set for this Monday evening on Comcast Sports Net at 8:00 p.m.
In all, there will be 10 episodes of the television program that takes viewers behind the scenes with the Wildcats. The program is produced by Wipe Out Productions in association with Villanova IMG and Villanova Athletics. This marks the sixth season that Wipe Out has served as the production arm of the program, hosted by Villanova head coach Jay Wright.
The program is also carried this season on Fox College Sports Atlantic, as it was last season.
The season opening TV show brings Villanova fans inside the 30th reunion celebration of the 1985 NCAA championship squad that took place in November when VU hosted Northwood University, coached by Rollie Massimino, at the Pavilion. This edition offers interviews of '85 icons such as Massimino, Ed Pinckney, Dwayne McClain, Harold Pressley and many more.
Also included in the premier is a profile of junior guard Dylan Ennis.
