VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova signee Jalen Brunson is among the nation's elite high school players selected to participate in the 2015 McDonald's All-American Game. The contest will be played on April 1 at the United Center, not far from where Brunson has grown to prominence at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Ill.

Brunson, 6-2, was the Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year in 2014 and has helped Stevenson build a 17-2 record thus far in 2014-15 with averages of 23.3 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per outing and 5.1 assists per contest.

Rick Brunson, Jalen's father, was a McDonald's All-American in 1991. The Brunsons are one of only five father-son tandems to be chosen to the contest.

The standout guard, who signed a national letter of intent with the Wildcats last November, becomes the 15th Villanova McDonald's All-American. The list includes current senior forward JayVaughn Pinkston (2010), guard Maalik Wayns (2009), guard Corey Stokes (2007), guard Scottie Reynolds (2006), and forward Jason Fraser (2002).

The Wildcats' roster has featured at least one McDonald's All-American in every season since 2002, the second campaign in the head coaching tenure of Jay Wright.
