VILLANOVA, Pa. ââ'¬" The Villanova Wildcats conducted their annual Blue/White Scrimmage on Saturday morning at the Pavilion. The White outscored the Blue 52-51 over the course of 32 minutes that was broken into three mini-games.

"It was a productive scrimmage for us and just a great turnout on the part of the Nova Nation," stated Wildcats head coach Jay Wright.

The games were bracketed into a trio of 10-minute scrimmages, with the White squad winning the first two and the Blue grabbing the last one. A pair of one minute overtime sessions were added to the final session, creating the 32-minute contest.

The aggregate score was 52-51 in favor of White.

Freshman guard Donte DiVincenzo led all scorers with 16 points. The product of Wilmington, Del., connected on 5-of-9 field goal attempts, including 4-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc. He also generated excitement with a series of athletic moves near the basket.

DiVincenzo's classmate, Jalen Brunson, set the scoring pace for the White team. Brunson converted 5-of-7 from the field and added three assists for 14 points. He sank 3-of-4 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Junior Josh Hart was strong for the White team as well, contributing 12 points and five rebounds. Senior Daniel Ochefu collected nine caroms for the White unit to go with his eight points and three steals.

For the Blue team, junior Kris Jenkins dropped in 13 points while classmate Darryl Reynolds hit on all five of his field goal attempts and finished with 11 points. Redshirt freshman Mikal Bridges grabbed nine rebounds for the Blue group.

The Wildcats will return to the practice routine and then take the court on Sunday, Nov. 8, for an exhibition game against Pace University at the Wells Fargo Center.
