Jonesborough, Tenn.- The Villanova golf team finished the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in 14th place after the conclusion of the 54-hole tournament on Sunday afternoon.

The Wildcats shot 309-293-602 for the first two rounds, and put up a team score of 308 in the final round for a three-day total of 910 (+46).

Junior Lucas Trim (Tampa, Fla./Jesuit) leaves Tennessee +5 with a final round of 76 on Sunday. Through three rounds, Trim scored 70-75-76-221 to rank first on Villanova and finished T-39th overall in the 84-man field.

Senior Luke Waggoner (Crystal Lake, Ill./Marian Central Catholic) shot an 80 in the final round for three round total of 73-76-80-229 (+13). Waggoner finished T-67th overall.

Sophomore Zach Egermayer (Ridgewood, N.J./Bergen Catholic) went 81-77-75-233 (+17). Egermayer finished T-74th overall.

Sophomore Andy Butler (Oakmont, Pa./Manheim Township) shot a 77 in the final round. Butler finished with a score of 85-71-77-233 (+17). Overall, he finished T-74th overall.

Sophomore Andrew MacMillan (Scottsdale, Ariz./ Brophy Prepatory School) carded a 90-71-81-242 (+26). MacMillan finished tied for T-82nd overall.

The Penn State Nittany Lions won the tournament with a three-round score of 289-277-278-844 (-20). ETSU's Adrian Meronk finished atop of the field with a 209 (-7) 54-hole total.

Louisville finished second overall carding an 856 (-8) three-round total. Tennessee, Virginia, and Missouri round out the top five.

Kent State and Charlotte both finished tied for sixth overall, while East Carolina moved up one spot to eighth place. VCU, ETSU, Virginia Tech, UNCW, Furman, Villanova, and Coastal Carolina round out the 15-team field.

Golf will return to action this Friday and Saturday at the Lehigh Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.

The two-day tournament will take place Friday, October 16 thru Saturday, October 17 at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
