MALVERN, Pa. - The Villanova men's golf team shot 313 on Tuesday afternoon as the Wildcats finished in 11th place at the fifth-annual Wildcat Invitational at White Manor Country Club. Villanova shot 304 in round one on Monday followed by 313 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 617 (+49).

Cloudy skies and rain threatened and lingered on the par 71, 7055 yard course on Tuesday as play was delayed about an hour due to frost in the early morning.

Villanova freshman Zach Egermayer turned in a 76 in round two, matching his Monday score for a two-day total of 152 (+10) to finish second on the squad. Egermayer posted the only eagle between the two days for the Wildcats as he tallied a three on the par five, 17th hole.

Sophomore Lucas Trim shot 79 on Tuesday to finish with a two-round card of 150 (+8) to lead the Wildcats. The sophomore went one over on the front nine, but stumbled on the back to finish with a 43 on the final set of nine holes. Yesterday, Trim shot a one-under 70 as one of the top scores on Monday.

Junior Luke Waggoner carded two rounds of 78 between Monday and Tuesday to finish third on the Wildcats at 158 (+14).

Freshman Andy Butler rounded out the top-four scorers for Villanova once again as he shot 80 on day two for a total score of 159 after shooting 79 yesterday.

Senior Scott Miller improved six strokes from his Monday total of 88 to shoot 82 today for a final of 170.

As for the individuals, freshman Will Byrne carded the best Wildcat score on the day, shooting a three-over 74 to finish with a two-day total of 160 (+18).

Senior Ted Brennan also competed as an individual for Villanova and turned in a round of 79 on Tuesday to finish +20 (162) between the two days.

Freshman Andrew MacMillan was also one of three Wildcats entered into the event as an individual. MacMillan shot 80 on Tuesday, shaving off five strokes from his Monday total of 85.

Lehigh's Billy Johns was the individual medalist at the 95-man 2015 Wildcat Invitational after shooting 73 (+2) on Monday followed by a -4, 67 in round two Tuesday for a total of 140 (-2), which edged out Delaware's Jack Gianinny by one stroke. Johns climbed seven spots to claim the medalist honors in the final day of competition.

Binghamton won the event with a two-day total of 581 (+13). The Bearcats shot 300 in round one before going three under as a unit on Tuesday with a score of 281 to climb three teams to finish first at the tournament. Last year, Binghamton finished third at the event.

Delaware, who had the lead after round one, finished second at 684 (+16). Philadelphia locals Drexel and Saint Joseph's shared third place at 591 (+23). Lehigh claimed the fifth spot at 592 (+24).

La Salle (593, +25), Lafayette (595, +27), Central Connecticut State (597, +29), Fordham 613 (+45) and Wagner (616, +48) finished sixth through 10th, respectively.

Following Villanova's 11th place finish (617, +49), Monmouth (618, +50), Rider (621, +53), Bucknell (624, +56), Canisius (636, +68) and Manhattan (636, +68) rounded out the final schools at the 16-team event.
