Men's Golf Shows Improvement in Second Round

The Villanova men's golf team carded a team round of 293 (+5) on the second day of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. This was an improvement of nine strokes from Friday's score. The Wildcats have now shot rounds of 302-293 = 595 (+19) heading into the final day of the tournament on Sunday.

Virginia climbed up two spots on the leader board to move into first place. The Cavaliers have team scores of 280-269 = 549 (-27). Missouri is 11 strokes behind Virginia, while the host team, ETSU, sits 14 strokes back of the leaders.

After two rounds, Villanova is led by senior captain Lucas Trim, who fired a 71 (-1) in the second round. Trim is tied for 33rd place with rounds of 73-71 = 144 (E).

Freshman Connor Daly finished the second round with a score of 72 (E). Daly had an eagle on the sixth hole and is tied for 47th place with rounds of 74-72 = 146 (+4). Zach Egermayer carded a 74 (+2) on Saturday. He has scores of 75-74 = 149 (+5) heading into Sunday.

Andy Butler shot a 76 (+4) in the second round, a four stroke improvement from his Friday score. Andrew MacMillan finished Saturday with an 85 (+13).
