Andy Butler Leads Wildcats on First Day in Georgia

Alpharetta, Ga - The Villanova men's golf team finished the first round of the Golf Club of Georgia Club with a score of 316 (+28). The Wildcats are playing in a very competitive field at the tournament, as 14 teams rank in the top 35 of the nation according to Golfstat.

Oklahoma is on top of the leader board after day one. The Sooners carded a 283 (-5) after the first day. Duke sits two strokes behind Oklahoma, while Virginia is six strokes back of the leaders.

Junior Andy Butler led Villanova with a round of 73 (+1). Butler is tied for 24th place heading into the second day of the tournament. Zach Egermayer is four strokes behind Butler. Egermayer carded a 77 (+5) and is tied for 70th place.

Connor Daly finished the first day with an 82 (+10), and Lucas Trim carded an 84 (+12). Andrew MacMillan rounded out the scoring with a 91 (+19).
